SIBOS 2005 Highlights

China Systems, was one of the exhibitors at the recently concluded SIBOS 2005, held at Bella Center in Copenhagen, Denmark, last September 5 – 9, 2005.

More than 7,000 delegates were present in the event, with attendance coming from the largest names in the financial industry around the world, checking out new products, services and IT solutions that will aid them in their respective businesses. SIBOS is indeed the ideal place for companies to expand business relationships and opportunities, network and shop for the solution they need as well as exchange ideas about what is important in today's business environment.

This year, China Systems joined 11 other vendors in IBM's Business Partner Neighborhood. Together with SWIFT's Lazaro Campos, Head of the Banking Industry and Johan Kesterns, Head of Marketing, and Marke Green, General Manager of IBM Global Banking Industry, China Systems' Chairman, Peter Tseng , and all the other top executives opened the IBM Business Partner Neighborhood with a ribbon cutting ceremony held on the first day of the conference.

During the event, China Systems showcased its total trade finance and payments web – enabled back office and front end J2EE based solution. Joel Schrevens, China Systems' Director for Trade Finance Solution and Mike Amos , Client Services Director for Europe and North America conducted demos of the Eximbills Enterprise solution, in real time. The system does not only meet the traditional trade finance and payments requirements but also offers banks a single platform for the deployment of its trade finance, open account and payment activities on a global basis, providing support for the full range of supply chain financing activities. Many banks have seen the system and were very impressed of the capabilities of the powerful solution.

Also present during the event were Peter Tseng , China Systems' Chairman, Joel Schrevens, Director for Trade Finance Solutions, Stefan Tryggvason, Managing Director for Middle East, Don Sinclair , Business Development Director for Europe and America, Krittapas Sintavaranong , General Manager for Thailand, Susan Javier , Marketing Support Manager, Angus Sutherland , Technical Sales Manager for Europe and America, Mike Amos , Client Services Director for Europe and America, Digby Bennett , Sales Director for Middle East, Richard Barker , Client Services Director for Middle East, and Edward Tseng, Sales Associate for America. Indeed, China Systems' participation in the Sibos event every year shows its underlying commitment in being the premier provider of trade finance solution to the banking industry for more than two decades.

One of the highlights of the Sibos event was the quality and quantity of the delegates. According to Patrick Neutjens,

SWIFT's Head of Corporate Communications and Director for SIBOS, “More than 7,000 badges have been activated, which is double the number of delegates and exhibitors that attended Sibos when it was last held at the Bella Center, back in 1995.” Moreover, Neutjens says, “Not only was the quantity up, but the quality has not suffered: it is still the right people – the senior executives and the decision makers – who are here.”
