This Internet-based front-end solution allows bank’s import and export customers to send and receive trade finance transactions with minimal effort and maximum speed.

Customers can capture and deliver information to the bank's systems across all business areas, linking the customer to the appropriate bank officers in real time. Customers enter instructions using a standard browser. Data is submitted to Eximbills, or any other back office trade finance system, after the appropriate level of authorization within the customer's organization.

The Customer can now submit an application for an LC while on an overseas buying trip, eliminating the need to wait for their return before submitting the application. This will lead to improved turnaround time of the inventory and better utilisation of credit lines by the customer.

Customers automatically receive updates, advices, Letters of Credit from the bank after back office processing is complete. Letters of Credit applications, payment instructions and queries are received by a bank the instant the customer sends them. Incoming Letters of Credit are sent to the exporting customer the moment a bank receives them, reducing turnaround times from days to minutes.

Customer Enterprise Technology

Designed using J2EE technology (Java 2 Platform Enterprise Edition) for building Web-based enterprise applications, Customer Enterprise runs on a very robust technological platform that allows bank to take their destiny into their own hands and quickly adapt to the market’s changing business needs, not only in Trade Finance. This solution allows bank to be completely independent from any application vendor, thereby giving them a higher degree of control over future cost involved in the rollout of business functionality via the web.

With its thin-client processing that is completely cross-platform, Customer Enterprise allows bank customers and other parties to access services such as trade finance, through Web server and Browser technology provided via Internet or Intranet configurations and utilizes all the facilities and standards that J2EE provides.

Customer Enterprise cross-platform and Multi-RDBMS design gives banks great flexibility in choosing the platform and web servers that fit their technology standards. The bank can use the standard web developing tools such as Front Page, DreamWeaver, Websphere Studio to design the web pages and integration with the parameter system. In addition to Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS), Customer Enterprise supports web servers such as WebSphere, Apache, iPlanet, and Weblogic, running on Windows NT, Windows 2000, Linux and mainframe web servers. Moreover, Customer Enterprise is flexible and can support any RDBMS namely, SQL Server, Oracle and DB2.
